Weather in Bhutan in June was great. It was an amazing time to visit this amazing country. It wasn’t very hot and it wasn’t very cold. We did everything that we wanted to without getting affected by the weather. It truly was a surreal experience.

Our trip was from Howrah. To reach Bhutan from our hometown (Howrah) we boarded a train from Howrah station to Jaigaon, from Jaigaon our Bhutanese driver Keshan took us to Bhutan in his car. People coming from different parts of India can go to Bhutan either by airplane from Delhi or Kolkata. The other way is to enter the country from West Bengal in a bus.

During this Bhutan cultural tour we visited a lot of places during these 7 days. We went to some of the most popular tourist places.

1. Buddha Doredama Staute

arrived to Bhutan

eally excited to start exploring

enjoying the family time

clicked some pictures for memories

When we reached Thimpu we were really excited to start exploring this place already. There was way too much to see here. Post the hotel check-in we stepped out and started the exploration right away. The main highlight of this day was Buddha Diredama Statue. It was amazing to see this place in person what we had always seen in pictures. We explored places like Tango Cheri monastery, Buddha point, Folk Heritage Museum, Farmers Market and many more. We were really happy to see these famous places of Thimpu.

2. Dochula Pass

driving to the next destination

amazing time with family

explore the best places in Bhutan

at Punakha Dzong

in a traditional attire

Visiting Bhutan means trekking a lot. Many of the popular places are located at great distances where going by a vehicle is not possible. We visited a lot of places in these 7 days that required us to trek but the reward was amazing. We trekked to places like Dochula Pass which was the highlight of our second day. This place is a must visit as you can see the entire Himalayan range from here. Other than this we went to Chimi Ihakang, Punakha Dzong, Punakha Suspension bridge and more.

3. Paro

extreme weather

stopped at popular destination

sitting on the river side

had a great experience of rafting

awestruck by the beauty

Our 7 days trip also has Paro in the itinerary. Post the check in our cosy hotel we stepped out to see some of the popular tourist destinations. During our stay in Paro we checked places like Ta Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, Nemi Zam. These places were absolutely magical. We were awestruck by the beauty of them.

4. Tiger’s Nest

main highlights is Tigers Nest

absolutely spectacular experience of hiking

Visiting Tigers Nest once one of the main highlights of this trip. All of us had been waiting to hike to this world famous place. We trekked for hours to finally reach this place which was completely worth it. No Bhutan trip is complete without visiting Tiger’s Nest. The view from here is absolutely spectacular.

Bhutan is not that expensive. Every possible expense was covered in our itinerary. Other than this we spent somewhere around INR 2500 to 3000 on our personal experiences.

The shopping experience in Bhutan was quite different as we came across many organic items which was the specialty of Bhutan. There were so many things that we wanted to purchase from here. We did many souvenirs too. But If anyone is going to Bhutan I will recommend them to get the organic soaps and bathing stuff.

Dining in bhutan was great. We really enjoyed the food there. But what caught our attention was the very famous butter tea which is widely popular here. We loved sipping on this amazing hot beverage. I recommend anybody who is going to Bhutan to try it.

  • If planning to go in the some time, do not pack many woolens but just a jacket or sweater as it doesn’t get that cold
  • Pack comfortable shoes was you would be walking a lot
  • Pack a warmer just in case of emergency
  • Pack your sunscreen
  • Keep all your first aid with you just in case of emergency
  • The traffic rules in Bhutan are way more strict when compared to India, one must not violate any traffic rules or like not taking zebra crossing to cross the road. Respect their culture they are proud of it, never disrespect their attire.
  • Do not miss river rafting experience
  • There are a lot of things to see in Bhutan, do your research and plan your trip accordingly

Our overall experience with travel triangle and their agent was outstanding their planning was awesome. They took care of the entire holiday and gave us the best of memories for life. We loved how it fitted our budget without compromising on the experience. We are looking forward to consider them for our future trips as well.

Bhutan is a great place and we feel blessed to have visited this place. Our Bhutan Cultural Tour With Family was magical and is filled with moments that are going to stay with us forever. Richa’s Honeymoon Trip To Thailand Will Make You Fall In Love With This Paradise

Serene beaches with golden white sand providing a perfect cushion to your feet, Thailand has a perfect combination of beaches and islands that people fall in love with. Romantic boat cruises, with an exciting shopping experience makes for a rejuvenating holiday like no other. Like many others, this couple also preferred a honeymoon trip to Thailand and to add an extra touch of romance to their trip, here’s how TravelTriangle ensured a smooth journey with all the fun packed couple experiences on board.

Whether it’s about a weekend getaway or simply to soothe your senses, travel always helps. I love the beach atmosphere but since we were confused whether to choose Bali or Thailand for our honeymoon, it took some time. Since around that time, Bali has a monsoon season, it made our choice easier and we opted for Thailand. The locals living in Thailand are well versed with the Indian culture and that made things better for us. The warm hospitable environment was just about perfect for our upcoming adventures in Thailand.

The best of all were the beaches of Krabi. If you’re a fan of turquoise waters splashing across the shore and your feet stepping into the powder-white sand, then Thailand should be your preference too.

Trip Type: Honeymoon
Cost: INR 1,07,000
Travel Agent:
Duration: 6 Nights 7 Days
Inclusions: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Flights, Cab, Airport transfers, Island tours, Dinner cruise, Safari World and Marine Park tour

A Fun Shopping Spree

Thailand markets

exploring the thailand places

around the market at night

amazing lights around the market

There’s a lot of scope for bargaining in Thailand markets. What we liked best about these markets was the wide range of products that one can buy. From makeup, accessories, bags to footwear, souvenirs and home decor, there was everything that one can hope for. We went to Indira market in Bangkok and it was fun as I took a stroll around the market with my partner, buying stuff. One of the most fun things to do in Thailand is to have street food while shopping and there are plenty of options for vegetarians too. We ordered some Veg noodles that tasted really good.

Variety Of Indian Dining Options

having the dinner

enjoying the night while having dinner

had a memorable night

spent some time in the hotel

enjoyed the day at hotel

clicked some best shots

had a fun time

Since most of our meals like breakfast and lunches were already included on our trip, there were only a couple of times that we ventured onto some street food. The best part about dining in Thailand are the Indian restaurants. You’ll find one in every corner and they serve the authentic Indian flavours that really satiate your hunger pangs. Most of the Indian restaurants in Thailand have a variety of options to choose from and are decently priced too.

Planning your holiday in Thailand but confused about what to do? These Thailand travel stories help you find your best trip ever!

Safari World Tour

a beautiful time with small lion

witnessed many highlights

together at safari

Visiting the Safari World is one of the best things to do in Bangkok that made us feel like we were kids again. There were plenty of highlights to explore here, such as the monkey show, dolphin show, sea lion show and the lion show. My husband won 2 stuff toys and a mug for me too! It sure felt like an adventure that we, as kids used to experience!

Beachy Vibes

having the beachy vibes

enjoyed our time on Krabi beaches

having the good time

beach walk with my partner

crystal clear deep sea water

had a great time

on the sandy beach

beach walk with partner

surreal beauty

great day to spend time on beach

on the beautiful island

Given that Krabi has less crowd as compared to Phuket, we enjoyed our time on Krabi beaches more than the ones in Phuket. Nonetheless, all of these were clean and it felt surreal to go for a beach walk with my partner. A personal recommendation to all travelers from my end is to relax and sit on the beaches here at night, just to breathe in the fresh air and watch how the soothing waves splash across the shore every once in a while. This place was surely one of the most exotic places to visit in Thailand that you ought to try on your honeymoon!

Day 1: Arrival in Phuket
Day 2: Phi Phi Island Tour, Sightseeing
Day 3: Transfer to Krabi, Day at Leisure
Day 4: 4 Island Tour with Lunch on Speedboat
Day 5 Safari World and Marine Park with Lunch
Day 7: Departure

  • The only thing I regret the most is to not know how to swim. With a place as beautiful as Thailand and turquoise coloured water as far as the eye can see, you just cannot resist diving in. By putting on a life vest, there’s only some distance that you can cover but it won’t be enough. So, my advice would be to learn how to swim before you head to this charming land.
  • Another important thing is to set your mind right as to what all you have to try here, like a list of things you wish to do and set a tentative Thailand budget, in order to make a proper plan.

There’ll be a lot of sun that you’ll have to encounter here. Since Indians are not a big fan of skin-tan, it is highly recommended that you take sunscreen along. Not only that, you must apply it thoroughly on all areas exposed to the Sun. Another important thing is to avoid carrying water bottles on boat tours, as the staff provides you with some for your journey. You must always keep in mind these important tips for Thailand trip in mind!

Our experience with TravelTriangle has been really good. Our travel agents Mr Ankit and Amit were always available to answer our questions. My primary concern was that the hotels should be nice as it was my honeymoon trip to Thailand. This was properly taken care of by the travel agents.

Reviving your senses amidst some of the best beaches is a must. So, when are you planning your visit? Pack your bags and plan a fun packed vacation to Thailand to have a serene escapade like never before!

2. It Was Safe For A Solo Female Traveler Like Me

Dubai is one of the few destinations where I could roam around the city freely without any worry in the world. It is a kind of place where I found fellow travelers from all around the world. Unlike offbeat places where tourism has not flourished yet, I did not have a problem getting around or finding accommodation. However, I would suggest female travelers that they dress modestly as skirts and shorts are frowned upon in Dubai.

3. Shopping

exploring Dubai in night

If one thing that most girls love it’s shopping. Dubai is a paradise for shopaholics for there are so many things to bring back as a souvenir. You will end up with one extra bag full of your shopping treats by the end of your trip. It’s guaranteed. I didn’t shop much but if you are planning a trip, there are a few things you should buy. Gold Souk is a traditional gold market where you will find tons of jewelry shops. Apart from that, what you can buy is perfumes, dry fruits, and dates which are kind of a specialty in Emirates. Camel milk chocolate is another unique thing to buy in Dubai. My personal tip: explore Meena Bazaar for the ultimate shopping experience.

4. Getting Around Was Easy

Dubai is a developed Emirate. The infrastructure is fully developed. The public transport network is strong and cheap. So, getting around in the city was not much of a hassle for me. I didn’t have to travel large distances to explore the most beautiful attractions in the city. There are just so many places to visit in the UAE and the transport made it all possible.

5. Food Was Not A Problem

Burj Khalifa

One of the grievances that travelers have to deal with is not finding food suitable to their palate. I faced no such difficulty in Dubai. In fact, there were restaurants for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians of various nationalities. So, I had a wide variety of options to choose from. There were myriad Indian restaurants too that never made me homesick for Indian flavors. I absolutely loved Chicken Shawarma. It was nothing like you get in India. However, I found some places a bit expensive, but Meen Bazar had some outlets that served food at a reasonable cost.

6. Holiday On A Budget

able to explore Dubai

For me, I had a planned budget for my Dubai vacation and to my delight, I was able to explore Dubai and have fun under my budget. The key is to plan well. I planned my trip and thanks to TravelTrinagle, I was able to not only get a quote under my budget but was also able to get all the customizations done in my itinerary.

  • Dubai is a hot place. So, it is indispensable to keep yourself hydrated at all times. Carry enough water and energy drinks with you.
  • Carry a first-aid kit and have all basic medicine with you because pharmaceutical products in Dubai are expensive.
  • Dress modestly, especially when you are visiting a religious place like a mosque. Refrain from wearing skirts and shorts as it is frowned upon their culture. You would anyway won’t be allowed to enter inside if your clothes are showing skin.
  • Do not consume alcohol before going to public places. It is not allowed.
  • Wear light cotton clothes throughout your trip as it gets hot in Dubai.
  • Here are a few highlights from my Dubai holiday that turned my trip into a fantastic experience:
Burj Khalifa: Not only I got to lay my eyes on the world’s tallest building but also the spectacular skyline from the 125th floor. It was an on-top-of-the-world’ feeling.
  • Cruise Dinner: Watching Dubai from the water was altogether a different experience. The dinner was great. There were a magic show and local dance performance too.
  • Desert Safari & Sunset: One word for it – Spectacular

Thanks to TravelTrinagle, my trip was successful and memorable. Kudos to the executive and the agent who were always a call away.

If you too want an amazing experience like Sushmita, get in touch with TravelTriangle and plan a trip to Dubai. Life is short and in the end, we will only regret the trips we didn’t take. Don’t be afraid to travel and explore the world on your own.

Fun & Adventure Meet Romance: My Honeymoon Trip To Singapore & Malaysia

Bhargav Thaker describes his fun filled honeymoon trip to Singapore and Malaysia. Finding both the countries to be full of adventure and entertainment, he elaborates on how his honeymoon turned out to be a perfect holiday for them. Having booked his package via TravelTriangle for INR 121000 – it included his flights, transfers, hotels, and sightseeing.

Our honeymoon trip was planned in Singapore and Malaysia for a very specific reason – fun and adventure! Both the countries offered us great theme parks, breathtaking beauty, nature, and most importantly modern lifestyle.

It was a perfect background for the beginning of our life-long love story!

Bhargav and his wife in Snow World in Genting Island

I discovered TravelTriangle on the internet and it proved to be a very important factor when it came to booking customized trip packages. I loved how they connected me to various travel agents for competitive quotes, itineraries, and customization. And so after receiving quotes from various travel agents, we finally settled on ‘Smiling Trips’ for they suited our needs best.

Take a look at our 7 Days itinerary of Honeymoon trip to Singapore & Malaysia, go through it and plan your exotic honeymoon soon!

Bhargav and his wife in Marina Bay are Singapore

We reached Singapore in the morning via a connecting flight from Malaysia and were transferred to our hotel – ‘Parc Sovereign Tyrwhitt’. Luckily for us, we were able to get an early check-in at 12 PM and relax for a while before our ‘Night Safari’ pickup scheduled for 5:30 PM. The ‘Night Safari’ in Singapore was an average experience if not great. I felt it was better suited for children.

Singapore Honeymoon Packages On TravelTriangle

Go on a luxurious Singapore honeymoon and visit Universal Studios, Singapore flyer, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Life Park, and Marina Bay Sands. Packages Inclusive of airport transfer, hotel, breakfast, visa, sightseeing, & more at unbelievably affordable rates!

Bhargav and his wife in Singapore

We took the Singapore City Tour today and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Our guide for the tour was a very jolly fellow and he explained everything that we saw perfectly. He talked about the origins of Singapore and how much effort it took to make it a global city. We also visited various cultural places and temples.

Later, when we were done with our lunch in ‘Little India’ we proceeded on for Sentosa Island.

Bhargav and his wife in Sentosa Island

The ‘One Way Cable Car’ ride in Sentosa was an amazing experience and we loved the view from the top. Later we went to the Underwater World and the ‘Dolphin Lagoon’. Out of the two, ‘Dolphin Lagoon’ was the better one and in the end, I wished more time should have been allotted to it.

At about 7 PM, we watched the outdoor night show called the ‘Wings of Time’ and it was a spectacular feast for the eyes.

Bhargav and his wife in Universal Studio Singapore

Being a bit tired from the previous day, our visit to Universal Studios began on a lethargic note. But after rejuvenating ourselves with a few cups of coffee from the Starbucks there, we were all set for another adventure. There were different kinds of rides in the Universal Studios and although my wife was a bit reluctant to sit on them initially, we ended up enjoying a lot.

We also saw a dance show in the Studios and overall the day went really well.

Bhargav and his wife on Genting Island

We took our flight from Singapore to Malaysia and landed in Kuala Lumpur. Since the airport was a little further from the main city, it took us some time to reach our hotel – ‘Ibis Styles, Kuala Lumpur’. After checking in, we were free to do whatever we wanted for there was no other activity planned.

Bhargav and his wife click a selfie near Petronas Towers Malaysia

We did the Kuala Lumpur tour (KL Tour) which started in the evening (the morning was free). We saw a lot of places during this 3- hour tour including the famous Petronas Towers, Chocolate Factory, and the Kuala Lumpur Tower. I felt the trip was on a hasty side because covering all these places in mere 3 hours gave us less time to spend at each place.

Later we asked the driver to drop us near Kuala Lumpur Tower. The driver departed with a warning to be careful in this clubbing area of the city.

Bhargav and his wife in Genting Island Malaysia

Our Genting Highlands tour began in the company of another couple who had just arrived in Malaysia and were supposed to accompany us to the island for their stay. Since the couple was tired and exhausted from the flight, our sightseeing on the way to the island had to be wrapped up quickly. I wanted to explore the Batu Caves but could not venture beyond the basic points for we were getting late.

Bhargan and his wife in Batu Caves en route Genting Island

Later on the Genting Highlands, the weather and view were awesome. I loved how everything was decorated in honor of the Chinese New Year. We also visited the Casino over there and I was in awe over its vast magnitude and grandeur.

We had to miss out on the outdoor rides and activities since there was construction going on but the overall experience of the island was really good.

Bhargav and his wife pose in Universal Studio Singapore

Universal Studio in Singapore

This was our last day and after checking out of the hotel, we were picked up at around 4:45 PM for our flight back to Mumbai. Our trip to Singapore and Malaysia was an exciting one! We enjoyed every bit of what came our way and are glad to have holidayed in these wonderful countries. The best part of the trip was that I got to spend some really good time with my wife in the beautiful sunny backgrounds of these tropical countries. These memories shall forever be cherished!

  • Sightseeing in Singapore, Sentosa Island, Dolphin Lagoon, Wings of Time, Universal Studios, and Genting Highlands.
  • The trip to Singapore was better planned than the one in Malaysia. KL Tour was a hasty affair and so was the sightseeing on the way to Genting Highlands. Our driver for the KL Tour was disconnected and impatient.
  • The weather in Singapore can be quite warm, keep yourself hydrated for it could get quite exhausting.

Spend your holiday sunny side up! Plan a trip to Singapore and Malaysia and have some fun in the sun! Explore the exotic places, nightlife, cuisines, shopping streets and historical places in the two island nations with your partner.

Kuang Si Falls: A Brief Guide To Explore The Beauty Of This Hidden Treasure In Laos

Luang Prabang, is no longer a travel secret! This ancient city in the north of Laos is a great place to enjoy and soak in the goodness of nature at its very best. Nestled at the confluence of two rivers, right beneath a temple-topped hillock, this city is a patchwork of traditional Lao houses with hints and hues of European architecture.

The relatively small city has a charming atmosphere and a number of scenic attractions to visit. Kuang Si Falls in Luang Prabang Laos is one such tourist hot spot that is so pretty, it may cause you to tear up in awe.

The Kuang Si Falls is a three-leveled cascading waterfall located about 29 kilometers to the south of Luang Prabang city. These mesmerizing waterfalls also known by the name of Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls, are a favorite one-day trip for tourists visiting Luang Prabang.

Looking To Book An International Holiday?

  • Location: 29km south of Luang Prabang, Laos
  • Height: 50m drop
  • Opening Hours: Every day from 8:00 until 17.30
  • Kuang Si waterfall entrance fee: 20,000 kips
  • Hiking time: 15-20 minutes

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit the beautiful Kuang Si falls is a few months after the rain has ceased. The cascading pools begin to settle after the monsoon and the turquoise color returns around November. So, plan a visit to Kuang Si waterfall anytime from December through to April and May. Remember, that the waterfall does get crowded during weekends. So, if you want to avoid the crowds, you are better off planning an early visit on a weekday. Have your hotel pack you a picnic hamper and don’t forget to carry water, sunglasses, and some sunscreen on your Kuang Si falls tour.

Tuk-Tuk

By Tuk Tuk:

Getting to Kuang Si is rather easy. Get onto a tuk tuk from the city center of Luang Prabang. The trip will cost you about US $22 to $25. The tuk tuk driver will not just take you to the falls, but also wait for you and take you back into town. The ride takes about 50 minutes each way. You may also travel in a group of 3-4 people and split the cost.

By Minivan:

You may also book a seat on one of the many minivans operated by travel agencies in the city. Your schedule, however may not be as flexible as when you hire a tuk tuk. The van will leave for the falls at 11:30 and head back at 13:30.

By Boat:

A fun way to get to the waterfalls is traveling by boat. The ride offers great views of the Mekong River and scenic mountains. The boat ride takes about an hour and you will dropped off at the nearest stop to the fall from where you will have to board a pickup truck to traverse the last few kilometers to Kuang Si.

By Bike:

Intrepid travelers may also hop onto the back of a bike and speed through the roads to get to Kuang Si. A bike can be rented at Luang Prabang for about $20. Do watch out for kids and animals jumping onto your path out of nowhere!

By Car:

You may also arrange a private tour to the waterfalls by hiring a private car and driver. This will cost you about $70, but is worth every penny spent.

Take a look at the places to visit near Kuang Si Falls while holidaying there to have the experience of a lifetime.

1. Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre

Bear Reserve

Before you head out to the cascading pools of the beautiful waterfall, stroll through the Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Center. While this rescue center at first glance may seem more like a rudimentary zoo with barely much to see; it is sanctuary that is home to over 20 black bears rescued from dire circumstances. Some of these Asiatic bears have spent their lives at inhumane tiny cages while others have spent their time in Bear Bile farms to have their bile harvested. They have been rescued and given shelter at large enclosures with pools, hammocks, and play areas in their new home at the bear center. This rescue center doesn’t receive, any percentage of the entry fee paid towards Kuang Si. So, buy a t-shirt and mementos sold at the falls, if you wish to support the cause.

2. Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park

Butterfly Park

On the way up to Kuang Si, you will pass by a pretty garden flocked with butterflies. Take a personal tour with the owner and know about the life cycle of butterfly. The care and attention to detail into the design of this sanctuary is truly amazing. Grab a sandwich and some coffee at the café on the premises and relish your snack sitting at a long table by the pond. If you have time to spare, you may also rejuvenate your tired feet at the fish foot spa for a few kips.

3. Laos Buffalo Dairy

Laos Buffalo Dairy

This is a must do on any trip to Kuang Si Falls, especially if you have children. This fantastic initiative is run by a bunch of local who are trying to educate farmers in better farming ways. The tour of the diary is absolutely amazing as you will get to milk, feed, and even wash buffalos. The cake, coffee, and ice cream tasting at the end of the tour is an added bonus.

Planning your holiday but confused about where to go? These travel stories help you find your best trip ever!

Real travel stories. Real stays. Handy tips to help you make the right choice.

Visiting Kuang Si Falls? There are a lot of things you can do near the falls. We have listed the best ones, take a look!

1. Swim In The Turquoise Pools

Pond

The best part about these stunning falls is that apart from being mind-blowingly gorgeous, you can also take a quick dip in the tiered pool of blue waters. There are a number of pools that you can swim in at the main area. That is not all! There are rope swings and tree, from which you can dive into the pools. Now, if that isn’t fun, what is? However, take note of and pay heed to any signs that say no swimming in certain areas.

2. Hike To The Top of The Falls

Hiking at Kuang Si Falls

Most visitors congregate around the picnic area and lower pools. You could venture further to the small wooden footbridge that offers unobstructed views of the main fall. The hike will take no more than 15 minutes and isn’t very strenuous. At some parts you may find the terrain a tad bit tricky. The steps do not have railings and you will find water flowing over the path in some parts. This tricky hike is totally worth it, when you find yourself looking right over the breathtaking countryside below. Once you are ready to leave, take the path to the right. The way down is smooth, steep and step free and easy for most hikers to tackle.

3. Picnic At The Lower Levels

Kuang Si Falls Lower Level

We recommend packing your lunch and some snacks, or picking some up at the market on the way to the falls. There are a number of picnic tables on the lower levels that are ideal for a snack stop to rest your tired feet before you set out exploring again.

4. Snap An Epic Selfie At The Footbridge

Footbridge

Nothing beats the breathtaking views that await you at the wooden footbridge that extends out above the pools on the lower level. A powerful 50 m drop of blue water tumbling over yellow stones, gives you the opportunity to snap some Instagram worthy selfie without a dozen people in the background!

5. Shop At The Kuang Si Falls Market

Kuang Si Falls Market

Do stop by the local market just besides the parking area for a quick bite of barbequed meat and some cold beer. This is a great place to shop for souvenirs and mementos to take back home. There are a number of handicraft shops to browse as well as a couple of bars that serve Nam Khong beer.

Sadly, there are no hotels or lodges near Kuang Si falls, which means that you will have to stay in Luang Prabang and make a day trip to the falls. Thankfully, there is no shortage of accommodation options in this dreamy UNESCO-protected city. You may use the options below to find the one best suited to you.
